BorgWarner T5 Input Shaft

The BorgWarner/Tremec T5 was used in a wide range of 80s and 90s vehicles, including 5.0-powered Ford Mustangs built from 1985 to 1993. The 10-spline Ford T5 input shaft along with other compatible parts allows this transmission to bolt up to any Ford small-block V8. This makes the transmission a popular swap for older Ford vehicles.

Unfortunately, the T5 transmission input shaft is also a major point of failure in these transmissions. This BorgWarner T5 input shaft kit includes upgraded components to reduce failures. New rollers for the pocket bearing and a cup-and-cone roller bearing support the T5 input shaft, reducing or eliminating end play.
