Chevy GM New Venture 4500 (NV4500) Input Shafts

This 5-speed transmission was used in Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 and 2500 HD trucks built from 1991 to 2006, as well as the 2007 Silverado Classic. There are three types of Chevy input shafts used with these transmissions, with either 20 or 22 splines. The 22-tooth shafts used with 8.1L big-block trucks have thicker splines than shafts used in other trucks. If you’re buying Mopar or Chevy manual transmission parts for a gearbox swap, keep in mind that most conversion kits require GM input shafts, even if your donor transmission came from a Dodge.
