Looking for S10 parts? You can get everything you need for your compact truck’s drivetrain from Allstate Gear. This aftermarket Getrag shift tower is designed to bolt onto the NV1500 transmission. It is a direct replacement for GM part 12549394.

This manual gearbox was used from 1996 to 2003 in Chevy S10, Chevy S15 and GMC Sonoma trucks equipped with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine. The NV1500 is labeled “MW2” on the factory build sheet. This S10 shift tower assembly will not fit NV3500 or BorgWarner/Getrag T5 manual transmissions used in trucks equipped with other engines.

Note: Will not fit the NV3500 or Borg Warner T5 S10 Transmissions

Replacement assembly fit and installed easy. Seems sturdier than OEM. Shipping was quick. Before replacement, leave transmission in 3rd or 4th to make it easier to align with new assembly.

Lost my mind, bought a 25-year-old S10 2.2l/5spd  RWD. Stick had had no pattern whatsoever. This fixed that problem. Ordered 12/25 and a box with the correct part appeared 12/29. Shift pattern restored.

I've had my 96 Sonoma for like 5 years and have wanted to change my shifter the entire time.  I finally decided to change it and ordered one from here for my nv1500. It worked perfect.  Tightened up my shifter and I love it.

It took me more than a week to find a supplier for the 1996 chevy  s-10 shifter & then only with the help of my friends at NAPA. I ordered from allstate on monday afternoon & received it on wednesday at lunchtime all for $88.36. The unit was identical to the chevy original & took all of 1 i/2 hours to install. Works perfectly.
