Shifter worked fine made better than the original.  One thing was the bend of the shifter was pointing about 30 degrees to the right instead of straight at the dash .
I took it apart and reworded it to make it straight.

All of the plastic pieces cast on the original shifter had cracked and came loose. I was surprised that the new shifter had a cast base. I was initially put off that the design varied slightly from the original however it works much better than what ford used. I had to drill the bolt holes out a little but did not have to stack washers because the base is a little thicker. Now I can put my hand on that shifter with confidence knowing it won't explode in my face.
