The front transfer case half on this page fits 2003 and later 2500- and 3500-series trucks with electric case shifters. While this aluminum shell is robust, it’s still subject to the same wear and tear as other transfer case halves. Over time, this wear can lead to leaks and loose bearings.
This NP273 transfer case part is not compatible with NP273-equipped Fords. If your truck has a manual transfer case shifter, it’s equipped with an NP271 transfer case, which uses different case components.
