The T10 was first used in the 1957 Corvette before spreading to most of GM’s model lineup. The final cars to use the original gearbox were Pontiac’s full-size models in 1964. BorgWarner introduced an upgraded version, called the Super T10, in 1972. GM used this transmission in the Corvette, A-Body and F-Body until 1984.
