This transmission was used from 1983 to 2010 behind a variety of engines, so there were several T5 Mustang clusters used during the gearbox’s run. To find the correct T5 Mustang cluster gears for your gearbox, you need the number on the metal tag bolted to the driver’s side of the tail housing. The numbers cast into the case, tail housing and top cover are the same length as the tag, but they won’t tell you which gears were used on the inside when the transmission was assembled.
